trash cans, musicals, & 5's.

here's what's been going on in my life:

tuesday:

went to ikea in search for dorm items and things around the house.

i actually drove, which is weird cause ambyr or steven usually drive.

ended up purchasing

a) a $2.99 trash can for my dorm

b) a $14.99 trash can for our downstairs bathroom that i'm remodeling

c) $4.99 tupperware

yes, you read right.

we drove all the way to west covina,

only to buy those 3 things that i could've bought locally.

but i guess the trip wasn't completely pointless.

i did want to go to ikea to see their stuff.

so not a complete waste.

plus we ate at their little restaurant there.

whoo $1.29 almond cake!

oh! & we had some good laughs.

then we came to my house cause my mom cooked dinner for us

& we watched hsm3,

which i'm COMPLETELY in love with.

you know how sometimes when you watch a musical or a movie,

you have a favorite scene or song?

well for hsm3, i'd say about 85-90% of the songs/scenes were my favorite. :)

hahhahahhahah.

sooo...if anyone wants to buy me the movie and/or the soundtrack..

you know, if you were ever thinking about it,

or anything...

i'd pretty much love that.

*wink wink, cough cough, ahem* :)

biff came over to eat a late-night dinner.

that mooch. he just came over for food. then he left.

had an extended (very extended) conversation w/ steven about various things.

it was enlightening.

wednesday:

us 3 set off for san diego to watch Wicked, "after much awaiting" :).

but before that!

we filled our stomachs at this amazing place called extraordinary desserts!

*my first time. :)

mmmmmmmmmmm. :))))

kept our stomachs satisfied for a couple of hours.

then drove to san diego civic theatre to watch the BEST musical i've ever seen!!

it was better than i ever could've imagined!

the vocals, the music, the unexpected humor sprinkled throughout the storyline, the amazing correlation to The Wizard of Oz..

i was not disappointed in the LEAST bit, as i feared i would be.

i was on cloud 9 the whole time and enjoyed every single second. :))))

i actually think that this cast was better than the original cast. :))

my only complaint is the lady that was sitting in front of me.

i was constantly moving around to see the stage.

i love being asian & short. =/

while driving out of the parking structure,

found out that they charged us $30 for parking!

i think it's 'cause we didn't go inside the mall to validate our ticket. :((((

cause the first 3 hours are sppsd to be free if you validate the ticket. :(((

*steven: DON'T pay me back the full ticket price. just $54 please. if you give me the full price, i'm going to give you money back.

went around driving in search for a late-night dinner.

some areas were kind of shady,

*ambyr tried to make some $$...ahem...;)

but i like downtown san diego at night.

they have pretty restaurants with lights, a night life,

& if you have a jacket, the coastal weather is absolutely beautiful. :)

i wish we could have stayed there over night & gone to the beach the next day.

the whole day today i kept on wishing i was there. :((

anyways, my dinner was too salty for me,

but ambyr & steven like theirs so i was glad.

plus we had..."fun" entertainment. x]

yeahhh...."fun" describes it..

after dinner, we took the not-as-long-but-foggy drive home.

*thank you, steven, for driving...ambyr & i really appreciate it. :)

made a short pitstop at a gas station & danced to mexican music.

as if we hadn't heard enough of it already.

*my 5's. :)

so i've been dabbling with photoshop some more.

this is a piece of the magic that photoshop can do.

to be honest, i'm not very happy with most of them. =/

but this is the beginning.

hahhahhaha, today was a lot of fun. :))

before the concert,

went to universal citywalk & hung out there for a while.

walked into a candy store with a bunch of crazy stuff.

GIMONGOUS jawbreakers.

& look at the table!

it's full of gumballs!

passed by cinnabon & could not resist.

we all treated ourselves and indulged.

i got 4 mini pecanabons. :)

absolutely delicious. :)

then afterwards, went to staples center

& we were in the same building as jordin sparks & the jonas brothers!

plus the honors society, & oh we can't forget the WONDER GIRLS!

a korean girl group who, when singing, sounded like they pronounced english words perfectly fine.

but when they spoke, it was a completely different story...

their accent was so asian.

i started laughing the minute they came out & started talking.

i couldn't help it!

& then of course, the one-liner i'll never forget:

"please welcome jordin spraks!"

hahhahahhahhahahhhhahhhahhaha x]

oh gosh...us 4 were the only ones bustin' up.

everyone else looked at us. x]

"we would like some PAN FRIED NOODAL with a little bit of EGG ROWL please..."

too bad we were in the 3rd to last row though...

oh but we saw tim in his "floor seats."

...5th floor, that is. ;)

the stage theatrics for "lovebug" was totally epic. :)

i loved it.

& of course "when you look..." made me sigh. :)

but i was disappointed that "burnin up" didn't end with a bang. =/

oh well.

currently at a family friend's house eating really good chinese food.

& last night, went to a different family friend's house & ate AMAZING indonesian food.

boy, oh boy, i love being able to appreciate my culture's food. :)

yesterday was really chill. :)

spent the day w/ mi mama shopping for 6 hours.

saw people without really seeing them..

a) on the way out of costco:

c) walking out of target:

sneaked up behind dayniel & leanne while they were looking at my car

& he was just saying,

i got my new phone activated, transferred contacts, & switched phone numbers.

so my new enV3 is up & running. :)

the people at the verizon store at citrus plaza are really friendly and helpful. :)

start contrast to the first verizon store that i went to...

i was dabbling with photoshop last night to try & get the hang of it.

here're a few things..

(nothing impressive, so don't expect a lot)

*i think that this is cool, almost on the verge of scary, but i think it works cause the background is a graffiti wall.

*just cropped & added txt.

*retouched photo.

so yeah, like i said,

nothing too interesting really.

i have a lot to learn...

i'm still really confused. =/

hopefully experimenting & playing around w/ it will help. :)

today, my co-leader from jr/sr bc came down from ventura,

so we headed out to hulda & just chilled in the shade for 2 hours.

so earlier this week,

i got a new little friend to befriend keeka.

she came all the way from the airport in japan

with some friends who were in singapore.

& today,

another friend joined my lanyard.

he came all the way from malaysia

with a friend who was there for 2 weeks.

his name's miko. :)

also today,

i got a new phone.

wasn't planning on it,

but my whole family (FINALLY) signed up for a verizon contract.

my mom said that i could have hers

& she could take my old one.

so everyone,

meet my new enV3. :)

we're going to go tomorrow to get all my info & stuff transferred. :)

oh & today,

i almost passed out at drayson today.

it was kind of scary. =/

i started to get light-headed,

then my vision started to get blurry.

i couldn't focus on anything

& i was seeing dots everywhere.

then i started to lose my hearing.

alison was talking to me,

asking if i was okay, then i was like

"alison, i can't hear you."

you know how everything's muffed when your ears get plugged?

it was like that.

i panicked a little bit because i've never passed out before.

& i didn't want to start today.

my brain was functioning fine,

so i was able to think still.

"if i pass out, how long will i be out?

i don't want alison to freak out..

if i do pass out, how long will it take her to get help?

i don't want to cause a comotion..=/"

i sat down & took a drink of h20,

then literally almost instantly,

my vision & hearing were restored.

it was amazing.

today was the first day in a long time that i spent the whole day hanging out w/ people.

i had no obligations.

well, actually, i did have a few...but, they weren't mandatory.

hung out w/ ambyr & steven all day...

then steven ditched us (not really) so ambyr & i went to hulda crooks, stater bros, & then my house.
